As you can see, this was no small accident. This was serious. By the glory of God, my dad is still with us.

The Latest Update
It’s been a week since my dad had his surgery after his accident. He’s still in pain but he is now out of the ICU and in a regular room. He’s going to be transferred to a rehabilitation center for the next two weeks where they will work with him to get him to where he was before the crash or establish a new baseline.
After the two weeks are up, the work will still continue. We don’t know what the next two weeks will bring or what type of rehabilitation he’ll require after he’s out. We’re still unable to visit him and won’t be able to see him until he comes home.
So what we’re doing in the meantime is curating a Spotify Playlist for him. I’ve made it public and collaborative so anyone can add songs to it. I encourage you to add a song so he can listen. Currently they are all in Spanish but feel free to add whatever song you’d like.
Ha pasado una semana desde que mi padre fue operado después de su accidente. Todavía tiene dolores, pero ya ha salido del cuidado intensivo y está en un cuarto regular. Será transferido a un centro de rehabilitación por las próximas dos semanas donde trabajarán con él para llevarlo a donde estaba antes del accidente o establecer una nueva línea de base.
Después de las dos semanas, el trabajo continuará. No sabemos qué traerán las próximas dos semanas o qué tipo de rehabilitación requerirá después de que salga. Todavía no podemos visitarlo y no podremos verlo hasta que vuelva a casa.
